Installating and Configuring

Installation includes several easy steps:

1. Checking Requirements
Before purchasing and installing Cmm CMS, you must make sure your webserver or hosting provider supports the following:
- Unix-based OS,
- Apache web server,
- PHP 4.x,
- MySQL,
- Write access right to .htaccess file,
- Top-level domain name (e.g. http://*yoursite*.com),
- Apache module mod_rewrite.

2. Purchasing

3. Downloading
If you purchased Cmm CMS and have an email with user/password, then you can now download Cmm CMS from the downloads section >>

4. Extracting
The Cmm CMS program is compressed into a .zip file that can be opened with WinZip or the Windows extracting program that is included within Windows XP.

5. Web Site Configuring
Configuration is saved in directory "_conf" in php-files. Variables in these files hold information about database, languages, emails and styles. These settings can’t be changed from the admin panel. 6. Uploading
Now that you have extracted the Cmm CMS zip file, it's time to upload the correct files to your webserver. You will need an FTP program to transfer the files to your webserver, we recommend using a free, open source FileZilla.

7. First Start and Database Configuring
Before starting the Installer, create the downloads directory /_pub/ writeable on your webserver.
In your web browser, go to the Installer, e.g. http://*yoursite*.com/install_db.php
Follow the instructions in the Installer to complete the setup of your Cmm CMS.
After the installation please, delete two installation files in the root directory: install_db.php and install_db.sql !

8. Using your CmmCMS
If the site http://*yoursite*.com appears as expected, you should now be able to log in as an administrator http://*yoursite*.com/admin.php with the username: admin, and the password: 123.
Make sure you change your password after the first login!
